Are mealtimes a struggle for you because of the negative effects of dieting? Is managing your chronic condition challenging because you don’ feel confident in making the best food choices?
I understand the challenges you’re facing right now when it comes to food. That’s why I help people like you confront damage from dieting and improve their relationship with food so they can have an all-new mindset, leave dieting behind and live a more balanced, fulfilling life.
At the center of my work is respect, honesty, and a practical, down-to-earth approach. I care deeply for the health and well-being of my clients and feel honored to work with people like you everyday.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Human Ecology at the University of Manitoba. I traveled to Alberta to complete my internship with the Capital Health Authority (now Alberta Health Services) in Edmonton. Over my 22 years of experience, I have worked in clinical settings, long term care, outpatient counseling, and public health.
Don’t worry, I’m not the food police. I’m here to support you on your nutrition journey and help you cultivate well-being and find solutions that work for your life. Together, we’ll help you develop behaviors that contribute to your health and quality of life.
Most of the time you’ll find me with coffee in hand wearing jeans and a t-shirt. I’m married to my biggest supporter and I am a mom of two teenagers and a fur baby. When I’m not working, you’ll find me outdoors walking, hiking, or growing food in my two raised gardens where I experiment with what grows well in the norther Alberta climate.
Balance is the foundation of wellness. To find balance, we must be guided by our personal values—what is truly important to us. Acknowledging our values allows us to find achievable and sustainable approaches to healthfully fuel our futures
